
Undersheriff Joseph L. Brewbaker began his career in Law Enforcement in 1999 as a Deputy for the Kalkaska County Sheriffs Department. He attended and completed the Michigan Law Enforcement Officers Training Council's Academy at the Kirkland Regional Police Academy in November 1998. He was hired as a Deputy Sheriff with Presque Isle County in January of 2000.
His career in Law Enforcement has spanned all aspects of the Sheriff's Department Operations, including road Patrol, communications, D.A.R.E. Officer and Motorcycle Patrol.
He was appointed to the Undersheriff position in January 2008.
Undersheriff Brewbaker serves as second in command to Sheriff Paschke.
Undersheriff Brewbaker oversees all aspects of the County Jail and its personnel. He oversees the Marine Safety Program, Snowmobile Safety Program, and ORV patrol.
Undersheriff Brewbaker strongly believes in teamwork with the county employees and having a good working relationship with the people of Presque Isle County. He will continue teaching the D.A.R.E. program, keeping the program strong in the area.
