Sheriff Robert W. Paschke

 

Sheriff Robert W. Paschke,  was appointed to the Sheriff's position in January 2008.  Sheriff Paschke is completing the term of retired Sheriff Terry D. Flewelling.

Sheriff Paschke joined the Presque Isle County Sheriff's Office in March of 1979.  During his tenure with Presque Isle County, Sheriff Paschke's career has spanned all aspects of the office, including Road Patrol, Communications - Dispatch, Corrections - as an Officer and an administrator, D.A.R.E. Officer, and 17 years as the Undersheriff.

Sheriff Paschke commands 29 dedicated sworn and civilian employees.  In order to provide the most accurate and fair services for the citizens of Presque Isle County, Sheriff Paschke has successfully completed numerous Law Enforcement and administrative courses and seminars.  Sheriff Paschke oversees a combined budget of over 1.3 million dollars.

An Active and supportive member of the community, Sheriff Paschke has been involved in several area organizations and events, such as the Rogers City Optimist, the Posen Knights of Columbus, a member of the Wolverine Power Advisory Group, D.A.R.E. Advisory Board, Presque Isle County TRIAD, and Relay for Life.

Sheriff Paschke and his wife of 30 years, Claudia, have 3 sons, Robert - living around the country employed in the oil fields business, Mark - employed by Carmeuse - Calcite Limestone Plant, Christopher, who is serving our country in the U.S. Army.
